Why a written second opinion is the first step of medical travel
A second opinion confirms the diagnosis and the procedure — and it is the document every overseas clinic will ask for.
The first step of medical travel is not booking a flight. It is a written second opinion at home.
What a second opinion does
It confirms the diagnosis, questions the proposed procedure, and produces a written record the overseas clinic will request anyway. It also catches the cases where travel is not the answer.
Make it written
A verbal second opinion is not useful for travel. Ask for a short report covering diagnosis, recommended procedure, alternatives and fitness to fly.
Send it before you quote
Clinics quote more accurately when they have your imaging and report. A quote without them is a guess.
